Developing an Expanded Range of Uses

Magnetite (Fe3O4) is often used as a friction material because less is needed in comparison to metal powders such as copper. The new hematite (α-Fe2O3) particles we offer have a larger diameter than conventional magnetite particles and a dense porous inner structure. When blended into friction materials for brake pads, they are expected to improve braking performance in a high-temperature range while reducing wear.

For Electronic Components
Ferrite powder for electronic components has particle sizes ranging from several tens of nanometers to several microns with a near-spherical shape.
Although a single grain is invisible to the naked eye, when compounded with other materials, the material it forms is vital for use in electronic components.
